“No person has the power to have everything they want, but it is in their power not to want what they don’t have, and to cheerfully put to good use what they do have.” – Seneca

Hello Fellow Developers 👋!

Imagine graduating from college without a job. Getting an offer but losing it due to internal restructuring. In today's market, thousands of developers, architects, assistants, writers and designers are losing their jobs. Many leave college without a job. Due to unknown and uncontrollable circumstances, internal restructuring, recessions, lockdowns and now wars, people are getting offers and losing offers.

No matter how much you try or think about it, you cannot change it. And to be in such conditions is awful and disheartening. But if you ask Zeno of Cyprus, or read about him. His whole life's work started when he lost everything in a shipwreck and ended up in Athens, reading about Socrates. The steps he followed laid down the foundation of Stoicism.

We may not have control over things which affect us. We always have control on ourselves, how we behave and our internal dialogue. This along with many principles  combined forms the practical philosophy of Stoicism, which was followed by Kings, Statesmen, and Slaves alike. And has inspired histories the greatest leaders.

We had a beautiful session discussion situations in life where we practiced certain virtues which allowed us to have more calmness in our lives. This is the beauty of our community, we come together students, professionals alike to discuss ideas that enrich us.
